Today we took the girls to the Botanical Center to take their pictures. We were suppose to have Grandma Jane and Papa Mark with all the grand kids but Jane was not feeling well. When Jane feels better we will be taking those pictures. Ava and Ella did a wonderful job and they look beautiful. While looking at the pictures it is amazing to see just how much they have grown up.

The Big Reveal
With Facebook it does not take long to get the word out. But just in case BABY GIRL MCCONNELL is looking good and everything is wonderful. That's right we are 3 for 3. We are very excited and mom and baby are doing well. Ava and Ella are beyond excited. They can't wait to take care of the little one and are all ready calling for chores that they can do. I will try to post some pictures of the little one tonight or tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the kinds thoughts and wishes.

Cooking with Grandma
My mom, Grandma Sue, came down the other day to pick up Ava from Preschool. They spent the day together and then came home to cook homemade chicken noodle soup. It was wonderful. Then Grandma, Ava, and Ella made cookies. It was fun watching them roll out the dough and attempt to cut out the cookies. The girls might have ate more dough then was cooked but that is all right. The other picture is of Ella and Cy relaxing on the couch.

Enchiladas
Sarah was home today and made homemade beef enchiladas. I decided to post a picture and the recipe (here you go Abbey). They were wonderful and the girls loved them also.
Here is the recipe:
Here is the recipe:
1 lb. or more of ground beef
1 T flour
1 small can tomato sauce
1 T. chili powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. oregano
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/3 c. water
1 cup sour cream
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup half and half
1 pkg. tortillas (8-10)
Shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese
Brown beef and drain. Add flour, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, oregano, garlic powder, and 1/3 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water; stir in half and half. Dip tortillas into cream/bouillon mixture. Spoon 1/4 cup beef mixture onto each tortilla; roll up and place seam side down in greased 9*13 pan. Pour remaining cream mixture over tortillas. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. (Can be made ahead and refrigerated for several hours or frozen. Add cheese when ready to bake.)
